THREE-year-old Sincero bounced back from his abject flop as favourite last week to take out the Group One $1 million Stradbroke Handicap at Eagle Farm.

Trained by Stephen Farley at Wyong on the NSW Central Coast, Sincero was having just his 13th start and notched his ninth win to take his prizemoney past the $1 million mark.

The son of Umatilla failed to fire in last week's Group Two QTC Cup (1300m) at Eagle Farm but, aided by a polished ride from Jason Taylor, was too good for his opposition in the 1400m Stradbroke.

Taylor settled Sincero midfield and the gelding was poised to pounce as the field wheeled for home.

Doomben 10,000 winner Beaded dashed past Zero Rock to take the lead in the straight but Sincero wore her down to score well.

Beaded fought on strongly for second and Zero Rock held on for third.
